30+ Seeds. Buckeye State was released in 1893 by A.W. Livingston Seed Company. It was commercially available for many years but was thought to be "lost" by the 1980's. I was fortunate to be given a small number of seeds by a gardener in Canada, followed by a small sample from a friend in Germany. Both sources produced identical tomatoes. I found Buckeye State to be a very heavy producer of 12 to 16-ounce fruit. They have a nice pink color, are slightly flattened in appearance, and have a delicious smooth flavor. The plants are fast-growers and produced nearly 20 pounds per plant for me. 80 days, Open-Pollinated, Indeterminate.
