Italian Oregano is a pungent herb that is a staple in Italian, Greek, and Spanish cooking. This bushy perennial grows to 18" in height with 1 1/2 " leaves. You can use the leaves both fresh and dried. Every kitchen needs a supply of Italian Oregano, as does every garden. Plants flower most of the summer and re-grow well after clipping. This herb plant is native to central and southern Italy, along with most other Mediterranean countries. Great for containers! Please be advised that Oregano needs light to germinate, so don't cover the seed with more than 1/16" of soil.
