50+ Seeds. I have been growing Paul Robeson for many years and consider it to be one of my favorites. Plants are very productive and produce 6 oz. to 1 lb. fruit. The taste is a delicious, smoky flavor. It is the best salad tomato available, in my opinion. Grows well in all conditions (hot, cool, wet) and seems to be resistant to Fusarium wilt and other fungi. It never disappoints.
The Paul Robeson Tomato is a Russian heirloom variety that was named after Paul Robeson, a singer who was also an advocate of equal rights (particularly African-Americans and colonized peoples). He was particularly admired by citizens in Soviet Russia. This tomato variety was made available by Marina Danilenko and was developed in Crimea, Russia. Indeterminate, Open-Pollinated, 70 days from transplant.
