Its rich green leaves, sometimes tinged with red, form a beautiful rosette in the garden that holds well under stress and has good bolt resistance. Buttercrunch is a classic favorite thanks to its high-quality flavor, crispness, and compact head. Buttercrunch is easy to grow, slow to bolt, and works well in containers.
